Today is my official birthday. So being in the lovely retail industry my husband I both we obviously have to work the big holidays. The retail industry I speak of is Krogers. If your not from around here and don't have one where you live it's a large grocery chain and they probably own some of the stores in your area under a sister name. It being a grocery store we work in and he is the head grocery guy there would have been no way for him to get today off being one of the biggest grilling weekends of the year to kick off summer and all. So we celebrated Thursday night. Boy did we ever party.
So I had a great birthday most everyone I wanted to show up did. I also recieved some pretty cool presents. My wonderful husband bought my a really cool looking emerald and diamond ring. Thanks again honey. I also recieved some candles and a gift certificate to Roosters. Then a good friend of mine actually gave me one of the bestest gifts ever! He called Tyler Wright my all time favorite Bluejacket player asked him to wish me a Happy Birthday and so I was grinning from ear to ear. I got to talk with him for I would say about ten minutes maybe a little less. After that I had way to much to drink but I was feeling good and having a good time. So good I could hardly walk in my front door. Might have overdone it a little but heck your birthday is only once a year! So it was a good year and I hope the next one is just as fabulous. I have a group of great friends and people around me and you all know who you are Thanks again.
The next day I basically took it easy. I went out to dinner with my husband, my mom and her boyfriend. It was fun and she was giving me hell about going out and getting sloshed and why would i ever want to do that? So I was like " Excuse me don't I recall hearing about u and your younger days etc ? She basically let it go . I mean there was more to the conversation but hey I was right and she knew it. Score one for me! Well I am off to enjoy the rest of my evening I have a long day tomorrow so until next time don't forget about "Excederin the headache medicine".
Okay I am totally bummed! Carrie won American Idol and yes she deserves it but I so wanted Bo Bice to win. Anyways They both deserved to be there and Bo will get a record deal too. Now to other things tomorrow I am celebrating my B-day early. I am excited I get two days in a row off woo hoo. I just want to have a good time and all my friends to have a good time and for everyone to be safe. I am going to be 29 this year on May 28th. I don't feel 29 and I don't look it so all is well with that! Happy Birthday to meee!
Not much to blog on really but maybe after the big par-tay I will have some things to write about. Hope I don't have a hella hangover! Of course if you do it right you won't have one.
Still no agreement on the whole hockey lock-out situation. I do hope there is hockey this season. For one we have one of the best young talents in the NHL and where is he? He was overseas and playing in the world games getting hat tricks etc. I cannot wait till Rick Nash makes his first hat trick in Nationwide arena the roof will be blown off the place. Needless to say it was a long boring and sad winter with no hockey games to go to. They have been in talks on a regular basis so hopefully some kind of agreement will be reached.
I seen Star Wars the other day. Not a bad finish it was way better than episode one and two for sure. I agree with my husband though I did not care for how quickly Anakin went from good Jedi to bad Sith within a minutes time. Then Padame died for no apparent reason other than a broken heart? Well what womans heart has not been broken get over it girl you just had 2 twins that need their mother. Break his favorite light saber for revenge and go on with your life! HA. Also all of the sudden he is Darth Vader and the death star is allready being built? So who knows Lucas seemed to rush the end and left it to where he could have another movie but according to him he is done with Star wars. Which is cool but I do feel the end was a bit rushed there were other parts of the movie he could have cut in half and put more time into Anakin going to the dark side and the ending. Oh well what's done is done. So until next time " Let's go Krogering" HA!
Well you know I have to mention the whole Star Wars thing. The movie brought in 50 million on it's opening day! Not weekend but day. What I could do with 50 mill. I still have not seen the movie. I plan to though. I am a star wars fan so I have to see it. My husband though was one of the people that was there for the midnight showing.I say nerd! HA.
I am now engaged in a website competition with Will Bill. All I have to say is "May the force be with you Will Bill". Dave and I are putting our thinking caps on and we are gonna blow you away! (I hope).
Dave is now taking classes so his time is limited for the moment but hopefully it will benefit both of our sites ;-). It's all in good fun.
Well they voted to raise cigarette taxes again. It is looking like I will have to quit soon. Just a forewarning It's gonna be a bitch for me and people around me! They did not pass the proposal to raise the taxes on beer and wine which is good. I guess that will be my new bad habit drinking. I wonder if I can have a beer on my break?
Next week is my birthday wooo hoo time to party. I cannot wait go out with my friends have some drinks shoot some pool play some darts. Come home and pass out. Good times. I need to say a special thanks to Dave for taking the time to make and add my new super cool CBJ graphic. Not much has been going on really just work. Not much of anything in the news I care to talk about. Nothing on the hockey front and who knows if there will be. Weather has been nice but a little on the cool side for me. I do have one cool thing to mention I go on vacation in like 2 weeks I think it is. I have not yet begun the offcial countdown. I cannot wait though. A whole 9 days of not dealing with customers shit. Actually the customers at my store are not all that bad compared to another location I worked in. Sometimes it is all about location location location!
Right after I get back though I have exactly 8 days to prepare for inventory ahhhhhh! It's cool though I have a great crew and we are already working towards being ready. So we shall see. Other than I have nothing to rant or rave about so until next time "may the force be with you" .
Okay, I am just going to talk about whatever as usual. I recieved a comment from alien asking me if i found it hard to get into the show American Dad since there were new episodes of Family Guy to go around. My answer is this..... Yeah I am not as nearly into the show as I am the Family Guy. See at 9 pm on Sundays it's like this don't talk to me don't call me don't bother me Family Guy is on but when 9:30 hits I really could care less if you call or want to talk etc. I have half-heartedly watched it had a few chuckles but nothing like I get from the family guy. I am glad though also in that respect that it's not like the family guy. How crappy would that be? Family guy is what it is and I like it that way. I am glad Mcfarlane went a different direction with American Dad otherwise it would be a lame knock-off of an original. Though I must say I do not find it nearly as funny or as impressive as the Family guy.
Now a shout out to Will Bill thanks for the comment I too enjoy your site. Yes you are a bit crackish but I would not have you any other way! I wait patiently for your post on Asian whores now. Ha, now I have called you out on it so it must be done.Oh hey can you tell me where the free cheeze is?
Now I must say something to Dave you once again mentioned me in your blog entry and said we need to get together and chat about making my site a bit more snazzy or whatever. Well you are the designer you did the inital design.Actually I am grateful I have a page to post on and share my thoughts with whatever un-fortunate soul stumbles upon my site. Well I made a prediction in one of my earlier blog entry's I said there would be a big upset and Vonzelle would go home and Anthony would be in the final three. Now in years past that is how it has went down. So I was wrong. America finally got it right. The 3 people that are in the final three ahould be there.
Now onto other fun things. I guess the past two days someone has been putting homemade bombs in mailboxes. This has been happening in Hilliard Oh. Just a hop skip and jump from me. Now we here in Columbus have something else to worry about. Well at least we know it's not Mccoy he is in jail. For those who don't know who he is... He was the serial shooter here in Columbus.
I want to talk about Adult Swim now. Love it. They have totally though once again changed their programming schedule. They actually do this quite often. Gets kind of difficult to keep up with but anyhow my complaint is this...... They have totally dropped Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Well except for Sunday nights. Not cool. I always looked forward to seeing it after the family guy. It seems to just be really taking off and I have been telling everyone about it forever and now some of them actually started watching it. Anyway now it's on once a week and that sucks. Maybe if it becomes to mainstream then they don't consider it cool anymore? Who knows.
Still no word on whether there will be hockey or not. They keep meeting and talking and talk is about all they are doing. I don't feel that the NHL could survive another locked out season. I am frustrated as a fan and I know plenty of others that feel the same. Our all-star Rick Nash is doing well though. First he played overseas for the swiss Davo's they won their season and the championship. Now he is playing for team Canada and everyone is singing his praises. I do believe he is the top scorer for the team right now. I just hope he can come back to us in one piece and do the same thing for the Jackets. Thing is though we don't have Joe Thorton. That's a big piece of the pie there. Thorton has been on the same line as Nash for his stint with the Davo's and now with team Canada. Who knows by the time the season does roll around and if it does the whole team could be switched up mid season. Nash is one of the greatest players in the game now and I hope that we can keep him. It would be hard to be the best on a team that loses quite often. Who knows. Maybe the hockey Gods will be kind and let us keep our glory for awhile longer. Well the little bit we do have. I am going to talk about a few things that are on my mind. Once again this will be a mostly rants blog. First off unless you have been living in cave you have probably seen the national coverage about the serial shooter here in Columbus Ohio. Well in case you missed the verdict if you will.....It was a mistrial??? How could a jury be hung on this case? I know I was not there I did not see all the evidence etc. He was apparently insane. That was his plea anyhow. I am sure and I have even seen some people that just are not right. I can only imagine how hard their life is not knowing what is reality to what is not. This guy seems rather normal and he heard voices okay. The Doctors that testified in his trial were on eithier side of the fence. One says he is insane and that the voices told him to do it and he did not know right from wrong that he did not know what he was doing was wrong???. The other Doctor says different. Here is my big question " If he did not know that what he was doing was wrong why in the hell did he have the brains about him to know they were coming after him??" He packed his bags and went to Las Vegas to hide out. He has no idea though that what he did was wrong yeah right and I am really Pam Anderson. Anyways he will be tried again. Hopefully the next jury will get it right. There will be no death penalty this time. I do believe the man had issues mentally. He was shooting at cars and dropping wood 4x4's and bags of concrete off by-passes. I don't think he deserved the death penalty but I do believe the jury could have come up with something the first time around. That's my thoughts on the issue for now.
Another thing that has me bent right now for lack of a better term is all the child abductions and child murders in the news. 2 little girls in Chicago stabbed to death and now they have one of the little girls father in custody. If the bastard did it I say give him the same treatment that he bestowed upon them. Take it up a few notches though. Draw it out and do some really annyoning shit first like maybe...... This is me getting creative......... Pluck each hair out of his body one at time yeah that would be annyoning maybe some good old water Chinese torture tricks. I am sure some people could come up with some really good ones. Then when he is nice and irritated,annoyed,miserable and ready to lose it do to him what he did to those 2 little girls. I can only hope there is a hell as bad as described in the Bible and that is where these type of people go. Just in case there is not though I say go with my plan make em suffer.
Okay on to happy thoughts. The weather here today was fabulous!! Over the weekend I went to see house of wax. Not a bad flick. I mean it's your typical scary movie but it was nice to get out with friends and of course see Paris die. I don't want to see her dead in real life mind you.
Work is work typical stuff we started a new program where our ad now runs from Monday to Monday. As far as I know no complaints from customers yet. I am sure they will come though. As we know customers suck. I do like this new set up though. Weekends are hectic enough.The other nice part about it is Saturdays are now open if you will. Meaning that my backup or myself or the other person I have helping with tags will not have to come in on Saturday night/ Sunday morning to do the price changes.Anyways I am out of things to talk about for now but keep checking there will always be more. Till than get off your computer and go enjoy the frickin nice weather that's going on.
Well today I have plenty on my plate to blog about. For starters let's go with my title. Finally Vindicated Scott is gone! He should have been gone like at least 10 weeks ago HA. So now my prediction is this..... Next week the bottom 2 will be Vonzelle and Anthony and the big upset will be that Vonzie girl gets sent home and Anthony actually makes it into the top 3. Now don't get me wrong I like Anthony but Vonzelle should be in the top 3. She clearly has the stronger voice and range. She has also been consistant every week. Now onto the final I think America is looking for something different and so is the show as well. I have heard all the spectulations on votes are rigged etc. Who knows but I am putting my money on Bo the past few weeks he has just gotten better and better. Kind of as if he hustled us. Being good enough to get in the top 12 and as the end of the game draws near he whips out all the stops. Then again I could be way off but we shall soon see.
Onto other things here in good old Ohio the smoking ban once again passed. Now if you must know yes I am a smoker and I am all for no smoking in plenty of places. Mainly places that are enclosed and children are present.They don't have a choice.They should be given safe places they can go and not be exposed if that is what their parents choose for them. First they tax the hell out of us but we can't smoke anywhere and they want to bitch about medical costs so they keep raising the taxes. Well here is my question... " Why in the hell don't you just make cigarettes illegal? " I myself would not risk buying them if they were illegal. If they were illegal I guess I would have no choice but to quit. For those who don't smoke it is hard as hell. The reason though cigarettes are not illegal is this. The goverment makes one hell of a killing off the cigarette companies and taxes. The vote on the ballot though was for bars or bar and grills that alcohol was 65% of their revenue because when you go out to drink you smoke and you want to smoke. A child cannot go to a bar. Adults go to bars they have a choice whether to go or not. Sure they should make non-smoking specific bars for the non-smokers. Anyways enough about that.
My next rant is this they are talking about raising the taxes on beer here. This would not be an issue that we would even get to vote on it would just happen. For anyone who does not live here don't consider moving here because they are taxing the hell out of us. They raised the state tax of purchases they now tax delivery fees, Cigarettes,new school levy passed,gas taxes, alcohol etc.... I am glad in a way the school levy passed keeps ouR home value up. It also benefits the kids. They need music and sports. It is a proven fact the benefits of children involved in sports and music. What would high school be without sports? Anyways give it up on the taxes already Ohio learn to budget better and spend the money on the right things.
On other news a casino paid five grand for a pregnancy test they were told was the one Brittany Spears took. It was supposedly picked out of her trash outside her home. Do you know what I could do with five grand?? I would not spend it on a used and supposed preganancy test of a celebrity. I don't care who's it was. Hell that would pay for a whole seasons worth of CBJ tickets! Or hell even buy the kids at the local some new computers or whatever! There are just better uses for that money. Even still they can send it me first and foremost. Okay I am out for now. Expect more rants later this week and maybe if we are all lucky a few raves. Night
Well here I go with my second entry. I was called out on another blog to post another entry allready. I won't mention names but if you read the first post you might know who exactly is putting the pressure on.
On to other things Family Guy was on last night and you know I was not in the least disappointed. I had to wonder if even a little that it may not be as great as the previous. With him doing two shows and all now. I was not let down it was in the words of Peter Griffin "Freakin Sweet" . I cannot wait till next weeks show. Which by the way got a little sneak peek of it and Drew Barrymore will be the voice of Chris Griffin's teacher. I guess she tries to seduce him into killing her hubby. Chew on that one Dave bet you did not know that!
I also seen today that the NHL and the players are meeting again to have some talks. Will there be hockey next season? I sure as hell hope so because this winter was boring as hell. What can I say? I am addicted to the game. Many people say they just cannot get into the game and I understand that. I say though go to a game. Not watch one on t.v. but go to a real actual game then judge for yourself. It makes a difference. As is true with any sport. Just the atmosphere and the people and everyone being into the game. Okay I will leave the hockey talk at that for now but be assured there will be more!
I also recently found out my favorite band is actually coming to Columbus this summer. They passed us up last year boo hoo. So saturday morning I will be buying me some 3 doors down tickets! Also going to purchase some Anger management tour 3 tix that same day. I was actually at the first one and it was one hell of a show I had second row center stage. Doubt I will get that lucky this time but worth a shot. This will be the third time I have seen 3 doors down. Totally worth it they always put on a good show. Well I am done for now.
