Well we survived inventory which is always a good thing. As far as numbers though I am not sure what we came in at and if it was a good or bad inventory. Our new manager is not like our prior store manager he would go over these things with you. I still have a job and I have not been reamed so I figure no news is good news.

I am hearing some thunder in the distance which is a good thing because I love thunderstorms and we need rain here badly. It has been in the 90's and it has not rained here in at least 12 or more days.

I also heard that my friend's dog had puppies so I cannot wait to go over there and play with all 9 of them! Nothing like playing with a bunch of puppies to lift your spirits. Of course when I get home I will be in big trouble though with my dogs. Speaking of I took my yellow lab for a ride the other day and here I am cruising down Broad street when some stupid driver pulls out in front of me so I slam on the brakes and my poor lab goes flying into the dash scared me though cause the way he flew into the dash looked like he could have broken his leg. Got to love the dumbasses they allow to drive. Anyways I pulled into a parking lot to check out my dog his heart was beating a mile a minute. Anyways then I headed off to my mom's house which is my lab's favorite place to go. He loves it there because he gets into my mom's cat's kitty condo and pulls out all of the toys and he gets into the bag she has full of kitty toys. He had toys all over the house. Anyways he likes visiting there because he comes home with new toys and treats and he gets to slobber all over an evil kitty's stuff.It was funny watching him he just would not settle down.

I went to a concert last week it was a local band. They are fairly popular around here they are called one7one. It was a good show and great to see them back together again. This Wedensday a few of us are going to see the band Seether. I have seen them in concert before and they are pretty good. July 7th I get to go see Eminem woo hoo looking forward to that one as well. Then July 23 I get to see my favorite band 3 doors down. Stained and Breaking Benjamin are opening for them. Don't care to much for Stained there songs are on the depressing and whiney side. I have really been wanting to see Breaking Benjamin. So I have a few things to look forward to this month. Not to mention Red White and Boom downtown on the riverfront. Always a good fireworks show with music choreographed to the booms.

Life after vacation, yeah well I have to say it sucks!! Especially in the summer. The weather is nice out and you have to go slave away in a building with no windows. As you can tell I am taking my first week back rather well. It has not been all that bad really. Only thing is our store is so fricking hot inside! I am like come on fix the air allready. I mean you can go pick up a box stock it and break a sweat! That's why I hate my store in the summertime. Bad thing is right now it's not so hot out so it's not that bad but warmer days are coming UGH!

So here are some rants. Let's start off with the runaway bride. I have read and seen on the t.v. that she has sold her first interview and movie rights? WTF??? So let me get this straight she costs her town tens of thousands of dollars goes to court has to pay back only 13,000 of the money and gets probation.She causes her family and finacee' mental anguish etc. Now she gets a half a million for her story??? I say shame on the television networks and shame on anyone who watches that crap. I think her fiancee' should dumped her and sued her for mental anguish missed work you name it. I also think anyone who was invited to the wedding should sue too. I mean I am sure some of the 500 or so people that were invited had to take time off work travel and not to mention the time they spent on finding the outfit they were going to wear replying to R.S.V.P. Oh and let's talk about all the time they spent deciding on which place to shop where the couple was registered. Now here comes the real fun once you decide you go there print up the list try to decide what amount of money and which gift off the registry your going to purchase. Then after that is done you get to search the store for the particular item or items you have decided on. Now from experience this is a time consuming adventure in itself. If your lucky by the time you go to get the gift the store will still carry maybe half of it in the colors, styles, patterns etc. Anyways I am sure since they were invited to this huge bash they were either friends of her or the groom and the parents. So I am sure they also had their fair share of mental anguish lost wages lost family time etc. They should be re-inbursed as well. It just bothers me that she basically commited a crime cost her family and town all kinds of money and she is being rewarded. What kind of message does that send? Anyways I guess crime does indeed sometimes pay!

Another one that angers me is that Mary Kay chick who married the kid she started messing around with while he was her student and 12 years old at the time. WTF? What sane woman would be interested in a 12 year old boy? Anyways I guess she also was paid 1 million dollars for the rights to her wedding or whatever. Again here is someone who is being rewarded for commiting a crime.

I also seen the Jackson family was shopping around for a reality series. Why!! Will the insanity ever stop? Don't get me wrong there are some reality show I watch and I do enjoy but this is overkill. I don't think America needs to watch the Jackson family in a reality show. I suppose they do need to pay for all their legal bills somehow though. I can say I won't be one of the Americans watching it though.

Anyways kids until next time I will be thinking up the perfect crime that I will get a slap on the wrist for and tons of publicity and millions in t.v., book rights, and movie deals. HA!

Okay well I was tired the other night so anyways on with the vacation stuff. We went to visit all of my husbands family in Mt Vernon. First off the night before was a long with having been bowling than friends over playing poker etc. Needless to say I had about 2 hours sleep but I am used to that. So we get going head out meet up with his mom and grandma. Talk for a bit then we go to meet his great grandmother and his great aunt which are twins and they are 90 years old I believe it is. Pretty cool actually and it was the first time I had met them. So then we go back to his mom's and hang for a bit then head off to his dad's house. So we are there for a bit talking with his stepmom and dad then we all leave to head back into town to meet up with his other set of grandparents for dinner. So mind you his dad lives in the country.

So there we are following them into town when this truck pulls out in front of us. Well this guy is out for a Sunday drive on a Wed. So we are behind this guy with his arm across the bck of his truck and he is just cruising along and his speed is inconsistant. So we go past a road where a crusier has just pulled up. So naturally he pulls out follows us I would say about 2 milesthen flips on his lights to pull us over. I was like uh WTF ? Brian is like yeah I dunno what he could be pulling us over for cause I was going 10 under the speed limit. So the Sheriff or whatever he was comes up asks for I.D proof of insurance all that jazz and asks if we had any moving violations in the last 12 months. We are like nope. Anyways come to find out he pulls us over because we did not have a reasonable stopping distance between us and the guy out for a Sunday drive! Anyways he gave us a lecture about being at speeds of 50-55 mph on roads like this and being that close and if a deer ran out and the guy in front of us slammed on the brakes it would be a bad accident etc. Well we were not that fricking close and the dudes speed was inconsistant but we did not argue he was nice for the most part and did not give us a ticket. Brian was pissed though saying you know he seen it was out of county plates and yada yada yada and he went on to bitch about the hick town. I myself thought it was funny. I also said glad he was driving cause I had yet to be pulled over in my life (knock on wood). I told him one day he would look back and laugh at it. He said it was actually kind of funny now but he would remember me saying that I was glad he was driving and that my streak had not been ruined yet. HA. Thursday I took it easy I was not feeling to hot so we stayed in and I took a nap which shot the rest of my evening.

Friday I had a Doctors appointment but I get there and it was not in the computer I was like way 2 go. So had to re-schedule that.Since they were allready booked and it was late in the day. So we left there and headed to the outlet malls in Jeffersonville Ohio. We bought a few things from the bath and body works place there and the big dog store yankee candle and the book store. I also got some new kicks at the Nike store woo hoo! New shoes are the best. Today was a relax and do what I want day. Brian had to go back to work tonight anyhow. I must say I am so not looking forward to going back to work.
That place is just no fun for me anymore. Sometimes it would be nice to say to hell with a job and just go somewhere else. It's tough being in charge sometimes but I do have a good crew that keeps things in line when I am not there. So cannot complain about that. I do like not having to set an alarm and be rudely interupted out of my sleep. I like this whole thing of getting up when my body says okay enough sleep let's get up and go! Well I guess maybe I can hit the lottery someday and live that dream. Just have to buy a tickets sometime. HA. Anyways tomorrow is my last free day and I hope to make the best of it. Well I have not posted recently but hey I am on vacation so back off. It has been a pretty good vacation though. Let's see Friday when I got off of work I went to a friend's home and had this treatment done I forget the name otherwise I would tell you. Anyways it basically balances your body. It takes away negative stress re-balances the body. I have to say it was quite relaxing and I could tell it was working. I slept sooo good that night. After that thought I went to Stephanie's house and visited and we played trivial pursuit pop culture edition. It was fun. I was basically a slug Saturday and Sunday hanging out, relaxing, watching movies, and doing what I wanted to do. I did end up going to dinner with my friend Paula to celebrate her new job. I am happy for her it's a way better job and more money but I will sure miss her on our tag nights together. Monday we ran a few errands went and picked up my friends daughter Taylor and we all went to the drive-in. We saw Madagascar and Monster In-law. Not bad movies but not the best I have ever seen eithier.Taylor spent the night and we all slept in then had lunch then got ready and went bowling. The hubby is on a league so Taylor and I got our own lane and bowled 3 games. That was all my poor wrist could handle. She didn't do to bad for being 10 years old. She even beat me once. So 2 out of 3 for me is not bad. HA.

Well after the bowling alley Brian, myself, Steve, and his friend Jenny all decided to go to the bar so we dropped Taylor off. Steve went to get Jenny and we all met at the bar and shot some pool. Well they did not have the air on in there and it was miserable hot. So we decided to bolt from there and just come to the house and hang. So some darts were played and then the 3 of them started playing poker I don't play so I just watched and had fun. The next morning we went to visit my husbands family in Mt. Vernon.You will really have to come back for the next half of this story cause it is funny. I will have to tell that story on a whole different entry because frankly I am tired and I have to have something to write about soooooo this entry is to be continued........ For the closing kids........... Sometimes you feel like a nut sometimes you don't.

Okay so yeah I am gloating but one more day and I on vacation. Does not get any better than that kids! Okay so here I am flipping thru the t.v. channels and they have this show on hit me baby one more time. So if you were one of the lucky ones who managed to miss this show I shall fill you in they have old has beens such as flock of seagulls and etc performing their old hits then one of todays hits. So anyways needless to say they butchered today's hit songs they did specially the band flock of seagulls. They did Ryan Cabrera "On the way down" I was like ewww I used to kind of like that song. Anyways the only rave I have about that show was seeing Arrested development. Good group back than and they were good tonight. Anyways they ended up winning the show so at least the audience had that right other than that the show sucked. So mostly a rant. Also managed to catch Brittney Spears new show with her goober husband Kevin called Chaotic. Yeah it's mostly footage of her concerts and a bunch of crap. I still cannot believe she married that loser and now she is having his baby. I will not be surprised when she is prego with baby number 2 and he leaves her for the next hot thing like he did his first woman. Anyways ebough about them they get enough press time.

So I do believe I am done for the evening so until next time...

Well Kids I am happy to announce that I have only 2 more work days till my vacation. That's right only 16 more hours of Kroger then I am off for 8 or 9 blissful days. Don't get me wrong I am glad I have a job but sometimes it is nice to get the hell out of there. I really don't have anything to rave about big surprise huh!
