Okay on a serious note I am feeling very sorry for all the people who have been affected by this hurricane. I could not imagine for a minute losing everything in a matter of hours and being told to evacuate your home. I guess the rest of Katrina will be here tomorrow dumping a ton of rain and high winds on us. Nothing compared to what Mississippi, and Louisianna had though. So we are gonna be hit here Tues. and Wed. Good for us though the grass is finally making a come back after this scorching summer.

Anyhow on to the VMA's. I did not watch them at all last night. I figure no big deal they will be on tomorrow and I can catch some of it than. NOT! I am really amazed MTV is not running the heck out of it in re-runs the very next day like they usually do. I can understand why they are not in the evening their big hit show Laguna Beach is on. I figured at least during the day. MTV really got one over on me this time. Oh well maybe when I am at work tomorrow they will be doing the re-play. Not that I wanted to sit thru the whole thing but hey I would not have minded catching some of the show.

Anyhow I guess the gas prices could go up to 3 bucks a gallon!?! I understand that the refinery's have been hit and there is damage and there will be production issues but come on already. This shit is bananas. I mean this is the USA and we cannot do any better than this? Everything is going up yet most of us are not making anymore. That's what happens though when you get a republican in office though. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Especially when they have their hands directly in the whole oil business. Not mentioning any names or anything but hey watch Fahrenheit 9/11 you might get a few clues from that.

Okay so work is work. We do have a new district manager now. We used to have zones but they decided to cut them up and reduce the number of stores and call everything districts. So this means less stores per zone and more visits by our district manager. Anyway my new district manager is a big time drug gm guy. He knows me well and that is a good thing. It can also be a bad thing though. He knows everything about gm he has been doing Drug Gm work for as long as I can remember. This all in all is a positive He used to be an office guy in charge of the whole GM deal so maybe with him being out and about in stores he can and will see some of the stupid stuff they continually dump in our laps on a weekly basis. Will this change things maybe.....maybe not. Only time will tell. I think Anth is going to get the back-up job and I am happy about that he and I have been kicking it out the past 2 days and that is always a good thing. Of course though him and another employee of mine are going thru some drama and I told him to get over it and make amends. It is just making things tough for everyone. They have been friends for a long time and I told him it was not worth throwing away a five year friendship over. They just need to talk this stuff out and figure out something.

Well October 5th I am having a par-tay at the house! Why you ask? Well it will be the first offcial hockey game of the year for the Jackets! Of course they are on the road so that is why there is even going to be a par-tay otherwise I would be at Nationwide arena living it up. Anyway I am excited so if your my friend your invited also helps if your a fan too!

Well today I booked my mom a flight to Florida she is going to see some lady she was previously related to from her first husband. They have not seen one another in years but have kept in touch. She will also be visiting her sister there as well. Somehow though my dumbass put the wrong email addy in the form when I was registering so I emailed them and asked would that affect anything. Hopefully they will get back to me soon with an answer. Anyhow she is going for a week in September. She is going all by herself. It is just weird having my mom go on a trip she never goes anywhere anymore. I hope she has a good time though she deserves it. Well that is all I have to say pretty much right now. So until next time kids...Don't make a mountain out of a molehill.

Well plenty has happened. First off I want to wish Stephanie a Happy Birthday! See you say I never write about you in my blog. My response was "Well you have not done anything cool for me to write about". Anyways having a birthday is always a cool thing so there you go! You have been offcially blogged. I went to see The Phantom of the Opera it was way cool. I knew it would be though. It was my second time seeing it. My husband went and he really liked it and so did my girl Paula which it was good seeing her and hanging out again! I worked price changes over the weekend which was rough. Worked Sunday morning then back in at 2am that night. So I finally got home about 11am then had lunch. I had a Dr. appointement at 3:15 so I knew if I went to sleep I would never get up. So I just stayed up. Ugh. Anywho went to the Dr. got tortured a little. My arms were still sore the next day. So needless to say I did not get to bed till 6:30 pm. So I had been up since 12:30 am the night before. Long long day.

I was moody my day off. I just did not feel like dealing with anyone or anything my arms hurt and I was PMSing. So then today I worked did my summer order then had to go to Sue's house had her baby shower it was nice. I think everyone had fun and it turned out nice. I was supposed to work 12-8 pm tomorrow but they are having Amanda's party so I had to change it up. I will now be going 8am-4. Her party starts at like 5pm . So the reason for her party is......... She got the promotion. I am happy for her. I think if she puts her mind to it she can do it. Then I am finally off Friday.

Of course I have to talk about hockey. They finally signed our star Rick Nash to a five year deal the second best thing our Gm has done since getting him as a first round draft pick. Well that and keeping Tyler! Anyhow we have also signed some key defenseman and a back-up goalie. So I hope this season shapes up to be our best yet. We have quite a bit of young talent and I am way excited for hockey season to get here already!

Well my first shipment of Halloween candy rolled in yesterday. Not cool. School had not yet started and I think it's a last minute thing for most parents to get the supplies. Not the clothes but the odds and ends when they get lists from the schools. So anyhow My whole aisle is basically still full of BTS stuff. Yet I have a whole half a trailer of Halloween candy that needs to be put out. I hate how the holidays are so rushed sometimes. Anyways such is the retail life. Okay, So last week I had to go to 2 different meetings which as we know meetings can sometimes suck. They were okay because we got to get up move around and see the things they were proposing or selling. Anyhow needless to say I was not in my store for three days and well things were not in the best of shape. To top it off one of my 7 hour people called off today soooo that put me even more behind but much was accomplished and I worked my tail off. Anyhow things are going to be changing big time at work and I think it's a great thing. Change is good. Just takes a lot of work and so is this whole new thing they have going. I think it's worth it though.

I also went to the fair last week. Yeah, the day we went it was like 98 degrees. At least there was a breeze. Not to mention my head got a little sunburnt! I had sunscreen on but as we girls know you cannot put it on your head cause well your hair would look like it had not been washed in years. I was just not feeling a hat that day. Anyhow had a corndog then shared a lemon shake up yummmm.So we walked around checked out the buildings and displays then we hit up an Italian vendor I had polish sausage with kraut and spicy mustard mmmm good. So we walked around more had another lemon shakeup. Then headed toward the exit. I had to stop and pick up my mom some mini doughnuts. I grabbed fried cheese on a stick on the way out! One of my faves. Anyways while there my hubby bought me the cutest wallet. It has a picture of three labs on it. 2 yellow and one black and they have little rhinestones glued around their necks like collars. Thanks Hunny. Oh and we watched the Purina frisbee dog show and we grabbed a free frisbee the guy was throwing out. My dogs love frisbee. Anyhow those dogs the guy had were awesome. They were all his he trained them all. He had like 5 of them. Anyhow he is from Cincinatti.

Not much else going on I finally get a day off Tuesday I cannot wait. I have things to do. I need to get my bangs cut for one. Then this Thursday is Phantom day! Woo hoo! I guess Amanda got the job at the store she interviewed for. She accepted so now our store manager has to say if she can go or not. I think though because it's a promotion he technically cannot stop her from going. I am sure there are ways around that if they really wanted to keep her so I dunno. I doubt they would hold her back.

On the hockey front we re-signed our star player Rick Nash to a five year deal. Score!!! We also signed a back-up goalie dunno his name. We need a good back-up goalie though. So we shall see exactly what he is made of sometime this season. I am still counting down the days. I cannot wait to go to a game. Good times are ahead this winter. I took this picture from Blue Jackets.com but I wanted everyone to see the new defenseman for our team. I am just to excited about hockey being back this year! Cannot wait and it looks as if we may be putting together a team that has a fighting chance to get much farther then we ever have. Woo hoo! Anyways don't have much to rant or rave about just been working as usual. Amanda went for her interview today. I really hope if that is what she truly wants she gets it. I think she is ready and she is going where she knows a few people so it won't be to extremely hard for her. Plus she better know if she needs anything she can always give me a call. So if she does go that leaves a spot open in my store and I hope they promote from within. I have someone trained and basically ready to go. I do hope that will be taken into consideration. Plus I think it will be an eye opening experience for him as well. Just as it will for Amanda. It gets a lot different when your the one calling the shots and it's all on your head. It is a good thing though it makes you grow as a person and shows you exactly what your made of sometimes good or bad.

Anyhow going to the fair this week mmmmmm fair food HA! Not good for the arteries but good for the soul and taste buds HA! Next week is The Phantom of the Opera! Very excited about that and I have good seats but that's cause I picked them. So yeah be jealous kids. I rented the game Destroy all humans. I have to say it's pretty cool. Just wish I had a little more time to play it. I may have to purchase this one kids. Anyhow that is all for now so until next time...Let's go Jackets!
